I just want to give a quick update on the road repair of Spruce and Grant. As some of you may have noticed on Wednesday we started by saw cutting of the asphalt. And removal of some of he asphalt on Spruce. Thursday was soil testing and Today we received word on how to proceed. Starting on Monday we will be back at it and we are hoping that by the end of next week we will be ready for the city crews to do the curb install. As of Thursday they have us penciled in for curb install on August 1st. and blacktop to be install about at week later. I will give you another up date next week as things progress.

Good afternoon all,
Just a quick note, to let everyone know that the next few weeks may be frustrating for a few people. Starting next Wednesday 7-18 we will start the road repairs from the winter water main break on Spruce Place and the sinking road issue on Grant. After the road corrections are complete, the city Crews will be coming in the do the curb and gutter work and the black top replacement. With good weather and if all goes well we are hoping that the project will be complete in 2 weeks but no promises.
There is a lot of coordination with several contractors, inspectors and crews that needs to fall together with timing and weather conditions that are unpredictable. We have already had several meetings with the key players reviewing the schedules and procedures of what needs to be done and when. Like always we will do our best to keep everyone informed of what is going on and we complete the project as soon as possible to keep the irritation level down for the concerned neighbors. We had a meeting today with the traffic dept. and reviewed the closing on parking along Spruce Place and the signage needed in the area to keep everyone informed.
There will be NO Parking along Spruce Place starting next Wednesday 7-18 thru at least next Friday 7-20. depending on what we find when we start the removal, this make take longer or maybe done sooner. We won’t know until we start testing the area. After Spruce Place is completed with the base soil repairs we will start working on Grant Street . Traffic will be down to one lane for a few days in this area too. We ask that everyone obey the parking signage that is installed by the city. When ever the signage is removed it only delays the project and efficiency of the crews and scheduling.
Thanks for you cooperation in this matter.
